Traineeship 08/1993 – 01/1994

In 1993 I did my first traineeship on this project. This traineeship was part of my Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. For a period of 7 months I was working as a survey assistant and I also worked with a Project-Engineer to assist him with his work. The assignments I got varied from detailed programming to quantity surveying tasks and general methodology scoping, planning the construction works upcoming.

Phase 1A of this quay wall is 1,030m long and was built for the bigger part off-shore. When I started this job, I found the worksite was literally "greenfields" construction. Six months later it had developed into an operational worksite which in full swing produced 25 linear metres of quay wall per week.
Later on phases 1B, 2A and 2B with an additional length of 1,550 m were constructed to complete the Amazonehaven development for the Ports of Rotterdam.
