Contractor: Great Belt Contractors  (GBC).

Traineeship 02/1994 – 08/1994

Value: €360.000.000,-

In 1994 I worked as a trainee on this project. The traineeship was part of my Bachelor in Civil Engineering at the

Hogeschool van Utrecht, Faculty of Nature and Science. For a period of 7 months I lived in Korsør, Denmark.

At that time the Great Belt Suspension Bridge was the largest project under construction in Europe and the bridge itself was on

it's way to set a new world record as the longest suspension bridge ever constructed at that moment time, with a free span of no less than 1,624m!.
